Patrik Widmer debuts on Pentaphonia with acid-driven techno weapon, Dance Now

Bringing his signature sound to PENTAPHONIA for the first time, Patrik Widmer unveils his debut release on the label, Dance Now.

Dance Now is a high-energy acid techno weapon, powered by relentless four-to-the-floor kicks, rolling percussion, and hypnotic synth lines that channel the raw intensity of underground rave culture. A radio-style vocal hook cuts through the pounding rhythm, injecting character and urgency as pulsating textures heighten the tension. Unfiltered and relentless, the track embodies the freedom of the dancefloor, a call to surrender to the beat and lose yourself in the moment.

Zürich-based DJ and producer Patrik Widmer discovered his passion for techno in the ’90s, captivated by its raw energy and the hypnotic tones of the Roland TB-303. What began on the dancefloor evolved into a lifelong dedication, shaping his signature sound: driving, high-energy techno deeply rooted in the spirit of acid.

After nearly two decades behind the decks, Patrik has played across Zürich’s major clubs and stages, earning recognition for his distinctive sound, supported by artists such as Charlotte de Witte.

As the driving force behind Acid Town, he has grown a small club night into one of Zürich’s leading techno events, bringing international artists to the city. His studio productions have also received international support, further establishing his presence in the scene.

Dance Now by Patrik Widmer is out this October via PENTAPHONIA.
