Bedouin’s highly-strung 2024 hit ‘Better Than This’, featuring IVETA, receives a new remix by Dorian Craft & Baron, out now via Human By Default.
This remix retains the original’s eerie tension, driven by Armenian singer IVETA’s sinister vocals reflecting on personal freedom, self-awareness, and fleeting euphoria, tempered by the looming presence of consequences and uncertainty. Dorian Craft and Baron add new texture with a raw bassline synth and a Middle Eastern-influenced melody, layered with dramatic, sharp synth stabs that cut through the mix.
Tamer Malki and Rami Abousabe, the masterminds behind the DJ and producer duo Bedouin, have spent over a decade crafting a unique, genre-blending sound that connects global audiences through their sonic vision. Drawing from their Middle Eastern heritage and Western upbringing, the duo has performed at top festivals like Coachella, Tomorrowland, Kappa Futur and Burning Man, as well as iconic venues including Brooklyn Mirage, Ushuaïa, Hï Ibiza, and Pacha Ibiza.
Known for their intricate productions, they’ve released music on major labels such as Crosstown Rebels and Big Beat, with remix work featured on Ultra and Sony/Universal. Bedouin recently kicked off their longstanding SAGA Ibiza residency, launched in 2017, and which has become a significant part of the island’s scene, winning the 2019 DJ Award for ‘Best Night on Ibiza’. Previously at Pacha, SAGA started its 2025 run on 29th June at its new home of Chinios Ibiza featuring Jimi Jules B2B Trikk. Since then, it’s hosted sets from Mano Le Tough, Bontan, Nandu and Stryv, with the likes of MAZ, Elderbrook, Lee Burridge, Acid Pauli and DJ Tennis to come.
Dorian Craft is a Paris‑based DJ and producer originally from Cannes, with over a decade shaping his own melodic, Afro‑House–infused deep house sound. Self‑taught and visionary, he blends ethnic rhythms, soulful vocals, and organic grooves in global sets at venues like Burning Man, Tomorrowland, Ibiza, and Miami. His debut album Temporary Bliss (2023) and EPs on labels like Rose Avenue have earned praise from Black Coffee, Bedouin, and Dixon.
Regular collaborator Baron is a meticulous electronic producer and DJ fusing jazz, Afro‑House, disco, and world textures. His Beatport Afro‑House #1 ‘ELLORA’ earned Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 support, while collaborations like Can Soleil with Dorian Craft and releases on MoBlack, One Tribe, and Get Physical have solidified his place on international stages from Tulum to Ibiza.
