‘UMS’ (‘Under My Skin’), the latest single from dance-pop duo twocolors, featuring vocals from BARBZ, releases on January 10th via Virgin Records.

Following the success of their hit singles ‘Cynical’ (4 weeks at #1 on German APC), ‘Heavy Metal Love,’ and ‘Lovefool,’ Berlin’s twocolors blend techno and trance influences into a euphoric rave anthem with ‘UMS,’ featuring the infectious, pop-tinged vocals of upcoming Greek-American singer-songwriter BARBZ. The track originated after a chance encounter with Jimmy Pop, the frontman of the band Bloodhound Gang, at ADE 2023. “We are huge fans and have always loved Bloodhound Gang’s music growing up. It turns out Jimmy’s a fan of our music too and he loved the idea of us reimagining one of their tracks. Now, here we are paying tribute!” With Jimmy’s enthusiastic blessing and regular oversight, twocolors revived the band’s 2005 hit ‘Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss’ with a modern dance flavour. The result, ‘UMS,’ has already made a huge impact at festivals, with fans immediately attaching to its infectious lyrics.

“We feel that with “UMS” we can make people fall in love with techno who might not be techno fans in the first place,” says twocolors, “since the structure and vocals make the song undeniably pop. With the wonderful BARBZ, a Greek/American artist, who lends her euphoric vocals to this club anthem, we are so excited and can’t wait for you to hear and see UMS 2025!”

Berlin-based twocolors, boasting 5.5M monthly listeners on Spotify, have swiftly become one of electronic music’s most magnetic acts. They’ve been tapped up to remix global stars like Imagine Dragons, Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, Rammstein, Jessie J, Gregory Porter, Lost Frequencies, and many more. Their much-loved rework of The Cardigans classic ‘Lovefool’, has generated over 3.7 billion streams across global DSPs and trended in the ‘Top 20’ in over 30 countries. Their follow-up singles ‘Bloodstream’, ‘Passion’, ‘Break Up’, ‘Feel It 2’, ‘Heavy Metal Love’ and ‘Gravity’ have amassed over 370 million Spotify streams combined and have cemented them as both a streaming sensation as well as a mainstay on global radio.

The electrifying new single from twocolors, ‘Under My Skin’ featuring BARBZ, is out on January 10th. Be sure to keep an eye for the single and many more juicy announcements from the pair as they set their eyes on a fruitful 2025.
