‘Afters’ Reunites Woody Cook And Zed Bias Following Festival B2Bs

Following enthusiastically received back-to-back DJ sets at Glastonbury Festival and at a church-turned-afterparty venue in Brighton hosted by roving party phenomena Lab 54, the dynamic DJ/producer Woody Cook and UK garage legend Zed Bias announce new collaborative single ‘Afters’, out 16 October 2026 via Cook’s Truth Tribe label. With the talents of Jonny Dutch of The Manor and Bristol-based vocalist Aloka in the mix too, ‘Afters’ is rooted in UKG and reggae warmth, born from a friendship forged in exactly the right places. Stream/buy it here.

Woody Cook has an exceptional ability to read a crowd. From Hï Ibiza and Snowbombing to Ministry of Sound and Glastonbury’s Arcadia, Cook’s recent summer DJ schedule has been his busiest yet, digging deep into his eclectic collection and delivering spellbinding sets wherever he goes. His collab with Fish56Octagon and Jonny Dutch announced Cook as a serious creative force beyond the booth, and ‘Afters’ confirms just that. This is an artist with both the taste and instinct to know exactly what works in and out of the studio.

Cook’s collab with Zed Bias comes years after their first meeting. “Zed has been like my mentor – a wise karate master,” says Cook, “and it is a dream come true to create this track with him.” Real name Dave Jones, Bias is a founding father of UK garage and one of the most respected figures British dance music has produced. His 2000 anthem ‘Neighbourhood’ remains one of the genre’s defining records, and his influence on the sound that followed it is immeasurable. When Zed Bias puts his name on a record, it means something.

The track delivers on everything those two names promise. Built on skippy, sub-heavy two-step and Zed Bias’s unmistakable ear for space, ‘Afters’ knows exactly what it is: a record built for the hour when good music is the key to keeping the party vibe alive.

Completing the lineup on ‘Afters’ is Jonny Dutch, founding member of The Manor and half of Dutch & Graft, and Aloka, the Bristol-based singer-songwriter who draws from neo-soul, dub and jazz to create something entirely her own. Both came into the track the way these things tend to happen: the right people, the right festival, exactly the right moment. “Kindred spirits at first sight,” is how Cook describes meeting Aloka at Glastonbury. On the strength of ‘Afters’, it’s hard to argue.
