April Date Set for Hot Cakes 20-Year Bash at XOYO

On Friday, 18th April, seminal UK Bass label Hot Cakes celebrates an impressive two decades of pioneering beats at XOYO London. From 10pm to 4am, Hot Cakes frontman Deekline will play a starring role in a wave of b2b sets with some of the most prominent figures in UK Bass, Jungle, and Breaks, adding a unique appeal to the latest installment in the brand’s illustrious events history. Tickets are available from £12.50 (+BF) via Skiddle.

Since its establishment, Hot Cakes has consistently championed forward-thinking bass-driven music, securing its status as a crucial contributor to the UK’s electronic music community. The label has featured influential artists throughout its twenty-year legacy, constantly redefining and evolving the genre while cultivating a dedicated following. Known for its energetic events and expertly curated lineups, Hot Cakes’ anniversary night at XOYO is set to blend nostalgia with contemporary innovation.

XOYO’s renowned basement, praised for its authentic club environment, intimate setting, and exceptional sound clarity, will host a meticulously curated roster assembled by label head and celebrated artist, Deekline. Bass music pioneers Aries, Scott Garcia, ORIGIN8A & Propa, Freestylers, and Jungle icon Nicky Blackmarket will all go B2B with Deekline, each contributing their distinctive styles to energise partygoers. Further bolstering the lineup are Sean T from Genius Cru and esteemed artists Katalyst, Jurassik, and Rolla-B, promising an immersive journey through the spectrum of Bass-heavy music genres.

Guiding the night’s momentum are respected MCs Navigator, Hyperactive, and Enamie, each revered for their unmissable stage presence, ensuring sustained energy and crowd interaction. Complementing the music, memorial-driven collective, Daisy Roots Movement, acclaimed for their distinctive junglist dance performances, will create an immersive visual dimension that perfectly aligns with the heavyweight musical selection. 

Organised by the highly regarded Weird Science team, known for their distinctive and memorable event productions at XOYO and across the UK, this night will exemplify their ability to craft unique, high-quality clubbing experiences alongside XOYO, which continues to uphold its reputation as a pivotal location in London’s underground music culture.
