Billy Lockett lends his voice to goddard.’s latest single ‘Live for Nothing’

Continuing the journey toward his much-anticipated ‘Here & Now’ EP, UK producer goddard. unveils his latest single ‘Live for Nothing’ alongside singer-songwriter Billy Lockett. Out 1st August on goddard.’s Rabbit Hole imprint, the track is a striking, vocal-led liquid DnB cut that captures both artists at their emotive best. Available now via Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, Beatport and more.

‘Live for Nothing’ is built around Billy Lockett’s distinctive, raw vocal delivery. The track opens with restrained emotion, slowly unravelling into a sweeping liquid DnB arrangement. Deep pads, warm sub bass and clean percussion build a cinematic atmosphere, while goddard. weaves in his signature blend of euphoria and melancholy. It’s another example of the producer’s unparalleled ability to craft high-impact dance music with heart, melody and meaning.

The single also showcases Rabbit Hole’s ongoing mission to platform emotionally driven, forward-facing drum and bass. Following earlier cuts from the project, including ‘Rabbit Hole’ with Venbee and the MC-driven ‘Bounce’ alongside Mutual, Inja and Dread MC, this track expands the sonic scope of the EP and continues to spotlight goddard.’s flair for vocal collaborations.

Billy Lockett, a fellow Northampton native, brings with him a deeply personal backstory and a voice shaped by years of highs and lows. From major label deals and top 10 chart success to hard resets and creative rebirths, his story is one of resilience. With a reputation for honest lyricism and rich, piano-rooted songwriting, he’s now turning heads in the dance world, and this link-up with goddard. lands at just the right time.

As we edge closer to the release of ‘Here & Now’, ‘Live for Nothing’ marks another essential moment from one of the UK’s most in-demand producers.
