Belgian producer/DJ Nico Morano enlists the help of French afro tech sensation Dorian Craft and Berlin’s Kalyma to remix his recent single, ‘Brand New Day’ ft. Coco. Both versions are out now on Nico’s label, Ontourage Music.

‘Brand New Day’, played recently by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, is a track full of daylight and hope, a feeling evoked by Nico’s bright percussion, Coco’s angelic vocals, and delicate piano flourishes. Dorian’s ‘Late Night Remix’ takes the track into the midnight hours with deeper, rattling drums and new layers of jutting synthesis. Kalyma’s remix stretches it to new horizons, with stripped-back, shuffling drums that make way for stirring, sweeping strings.

This is the follow-up to Nico Morano’s ‘Sun Sun Sun’, a glowing single full of light, warmth, and positivity. This release rounded off an incredible 2024 for Nico, in which tracks like ‘JUNO LOVE’ and Gorje Hewek’s remix of his track ‘EVERYTHING I OWN’ received regular support from leading trio Keinemusik (Rampa, Adam Port, &Me). In July, he performed in front of 15,000 ravers at Tomorrowland.

In 2020, Nico Morano set up his record label, Ontourage, birthed out of a need for authenticity—a space where he could showcase 100% of his musical style, without compromise. The label is more than a personal outlet; it’s a community, a movement, he says: “I wanted to create a home for my music but also a platform to nurture and elevate artists who resonate with the same passion and quality I aim for.

Dorian Craft and Kalyma transport Nico Morano’s single ‘Brand New Day’, featuring Coco, to new sonic sands with this pair of remixes. They’re the start of an exciting year for Nico, so be sure to keep an ear to the ground for more spellbinding techno offerings from this talented Belgian producer.
