Creative Director Yvonne Song Expands a Global Portfolio Across Music, Fashion, Film, and Cultural Experiences

Yiwen Song, professionally known as Yvonne Song, is a New York-based Creative Director, Producer, and Visual Storyteller whose work spans music, fashion, live events, photography, film, and cultural experiences. Through a multidisciplinary creative practice, Song develops and executes visual campaigns, artist-driven content, experiential activations, and cultural storytelling for internationally recognized artists, brands, and creative institutions. Her work has appeared across live events, editorial campaigns, artist releases, and digital media platforms reaching audiences worldwide.

Recognized for combining creative direction, production leadership, and visual execution, Song has built a diverse body of work that bridges multiple disciplines while connecting audiences across North America, Europe, and Asia. Her portfolio encompasses artist branding, editorial photography, live-event content, experiential productions, and documentary-style storytelling.

Over the past year, Song has played a significant creative role in the visual development and content production surrounding major projects for Grammy-nominated recording artist Miguel. Serving as lead photographer and visual creative across multiple campaigns and appearances, she helped document and shape the artist’s visual narrative through pre-album studio sessions, national television appearances including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and major live performances such as the CAOS Tour and Roots Picnic in Philadelphia.

Song’s ability to translate an artist’s identity into compelling visual storytelling has led to collaborations with internationally recognized musicians and creative teams. Recording artist JT selected Song to photograph and document her Pride performance and exclusive pop-up activations, while acclaimed artist Amaarae engaged her for official photography and visual campaign development, resulting in work that was distributed and credited across Vevo-supported platforms.

Beyond live-event coverage, Song has expanded her portfolio through editorial, commercial, and artist-branding projects. Her work includes serving as lead photographer for the Sparrow cover shoot, directing visual content for artist press campaigns, and contributing photography for album artwork, including releases by electronic music artist Westend. Alongside commissioned work, she continues to develop original concepts and creative properties that merge photography, film, music, and experiential design, reflecting a practice that extends beyond traditional client work.

Song’s international portfolio has further grown through collaborations with globally recognized artists including Jackson Wang, GALI, and Santa. Across these projects, she has contributed creative direction, photography, and content development for audiences spanning multiple cultural markets, demonstrating the versatility to lead creative initiatives across diverse entertainment industries.

In addition to her collaborations with artists, Song has distinguished herself through independently conceived experiential productions. One notable project saw her originate, creatively direct, and produce a 7-Eleven-inspired music and cultural activation that transformed a familiar retail setting into an immersive live experience. The activation generated significant online engagement and achieved viral reach across Chinese social media platforms, showcasing her ability to combine creative strategy, cultural insight, production management, and audience engagement into a cohesive creative vision.

Her broader portfolio continues to span film production, editorial photography, documentary storytelling, artist development, and integrated creative campaigns. Collectively, these projects have established Song as a multidisciplinary creative recognized for original concept development, strategic visual direction, and the execution of large-scale productions across multiple creative industries.

Alongside her visual practice, Song is also an active DJ and music producer whose performances have taken her to cultural hubs including Paris, New York, Shanghai, and the Philippines. Her recurring appearances at Silencio Paris during Fashion Week further underscore her presence within internationally recognized creative communities.

Upcoming Projects and Creative Development

Song is currently expanding her work through a series of editorial photography, documentary-film, and global storytelling initiatives focused on emerging cultural movements and creative communities.

Among these projects is a documentary-style series exploring the lives and influence of Gen Z creatives across major cultural centers including New York, Paris, Shanghai, and the United Kingdom. The project examines how emerging artists, musicians, designers, photographers, and cultural leaders are shaping contemporary creative culture through music, fashion, art, and technology.

As Song continues to develop new creative projects, her work remains focused on bringing together visual storytelling, cultural exploration, experiential production, and artist-driven narratives. Through creative leadership and multidisciplinary execution, she continues to build a portfolio that reflects the evolving intersection of music, fashion, media, and contemporary culture.
