Accompanied by a wild, story-driven video, ‘Is Your Brother?’ delivers a hard-hitting message about substance abuse, and is the first single since Eskimo’s exit from award-winning Irish rap crew, Versatile
Eskimo Supreme—the former member of leading Irish hip-hop rap crew Versatile—kicks off 2025 with his debut solo single, ‘Is Your Brother?’, out January 17th via Greenback Records.
‘Is Your Brother?’ is a devilish fusion of hip-hop and dance, diving into the temptations of drugs and partying, with the title coming from the chorus, “Is your brother doing a six-er for a one-er?”. True to Eskimo style, the track’s paired with a rowdy, story-driven video conceptualised ad starring Eskimo himself. Dressed as a devil, the Dublin rapper wreaks drug-fueled havoc across town in a short film packed with wild antics. Stick around for the twist ending—it delivers an unexpected, hard-hitting message about substance abuse.
This is the first solo venture from Eskimo Supreme—real name Alex Sheehan—since exiting the award-winning Irish rap crew, Versatile. Since their 2017 debut, Versatile
has led the Irish hip-hop scene, achieving hundreds of millions of streams independently and selling out major venues like Dublin’s 3Arena. In January 2020, they won Best Hip Hop Act at the Urban Music Awards. Notably, Versatile have collaborated with U.S. hip-hop legends, including Grammy-winner Coolio on ‘Escape Wagon’ and Eminem’s crew D12 on ‘Panic Attack – D12 Remix’. In 2023, they toured globally, opening for Snoop Dogg. Embarking on a solo career in 2025, Eskimo Supreme is set to continue shaping the evolution of hip-hop from an Irish perspective.
‘Is Your Brother?’ comes out this Friday, January 17th. Play it loud and keep your eyes peeled for the ever-unfolding explosive solo story of Eskimo Supreme.
