The Swiss producer flips the recognised 2018 track into a dancefloor weapon
Spanish DJ and producer Koston delivers a high-energy remix of French rapper Booba’s 2018 trap hit ‘Kalash’, which is accompanied by an official music video, out on now via Booba’s label SubLife.
Koston’s remix has already made waves in clubland, transforming the moody half-time original into a dancefloor anthem, injecting high-tempo 4×4 drums, shuffling percussion, and bursts of Afro-house-inspired synth stabs.
By looping it over and over in his remix, Koston pays tribute to one of Booba’s most iconic lyrics: ‘What am I going to do with all this money?’.
Koston’s productions have racked up over 600 million streams. Koston is now developing his solo project as an electro and house DJ. Real name Viktor Garcia Jarnjak, he’s a producer, songwriter and DJ born in Lausanne. Of Spanish and Croatian descent, he developed a passion for music from an early age, influenced by his father, a guitarist, which led to him beatmaking as a teenager. Active for over ten years, he has collaborated with the likes of Soprano, L’Algerino, Soolking, Eva Queen, Niska and Kendji Girac, among others.
The remix is paired with a music video, created by the directing duo Glytch.
