Music Factory Records Unveils ‘Tropical Nites: Ursula 1000 Remix’ – A Sonic Escape Awaits!

Dive into the sun-soaked sounds of summer with the debut single, ‘Tropical Nites: Ursula 1000 Remix,’ from Roman Angelos’ latest EP, ‘Tropical Nites: Remixes and Lost Tracks.’ This vibrant release showcases the collaborative brilliance of composer Rich Bennett on guitar, alongside a talented ensemble featuring Brittany Anjou on vibraphone, Ben Zwerin on bass, Spencer Cohen on drums, Dennis Boolyoins on percussion, Rose Rutledge on flute, Kai Sandoval on trumpet, Nadav Nirenberg on trombone, and Deidre Rodman-Struck on piano.

The upcoming EP boasts remixes from notable artists including the legendary Ursula 1000, Blake Madden of Hotels, and producer Scott Solter. Additionally, rare tracks feature guest performances from piano/synth virtuoso Frank LoCrasto (known for his work with Cass McCombs and Okkervil River) and Brazilian sensation Mari Rosa of Limoncello fame.

Ursula 1000’s remix of ‘Tropical Nites’ perfectly captures the essence of a blissful poolside retreat. It opens with the serene sounds of tropical birdcalls, inviting listeners into a lush, ambient soundscape. As it evolves, the track seamlessly transitions into an infectious lounge/bossa house groove, enriched by captivating female vocal samples and the rhythmic charm of steel drums. This remix strikes an exquisite balance between uplifting energy and soothing vibes, making it an ideal soundtrack for both dance floors and sophisticated cocktail soirées.

Rich Bennett, the mastermind behind Roman Angelos, shares his excitement: “I’ve admired Ursula 1000’s work since the early 2000s. After completing the ‘Tropical Nites’ LP, he was my top choice for a remix. His understanding of this music, combined with his ability to reimagine it for a broader audience, was exactly what I envisioned. The moment I heard the birds and tropical ambiance, I knew we had a gem!”

For vinyl enthusiasts, ‘Tropical Nites: Ursula 1000 Remix’ will be available in a limited run of just five lathe records at live Roman Angelos performances this fall. Each record comes in a stunning sleeve designed by UK artist MJ Langthorne—a perfect collector’s item or a unique starting point for any vinyl journey.

Mark your calendars for September 27, 2024, as Roman Angelos invites you to experience this exotic blend of nostalgia and modernity. Get ready to let the tropical vibes wash over you!
