REYUS Announces Multi-Genre Debut Album ‘I’m Listening’ With First Single ‘Around You (Ft. Alyssa Thomas)’

Independent electronic artist REYUS announces the release of ‘I’m Listening’, a genre-spanning debut album exploring creative freedom, personal storytelling and the influences that have shaped his artistic journey. The announcement arrives alongside the release of the album’s first single ‘Around You’ featuring vocalist Alyssa Thomas.

Merging elements of electronic, House, Garage, Techno, Pop and Rock, ‘I’m Listening’ reflects REYUS’ approach to creating music without boundaries. Rather than defined by a single sound, the album moves between energetic club moments and more introspective compositions, capturing the contrast between the different sides of his artistry. The project features a string of collaborations with close friends and artists within REYUS’ creative circle, adding further depth to the album’s diverse sound and personal nature.

Across the forthcoming album’s 20 tracks, REYUS presents his most ambitious body of work to date. Exploring themes of internal thought, anxiety, relationships and human connection, ‘I’m Listening’ reflects the importance of paying closer attention to emotions, experiences and the moments that shape us.

Recorded across studios in Hackney, London, Dorking and Ibiza, ‘I’m Listening’ brings together the different environments and experiences that have influenced REYUS’ creative process. The album represents his belief that electronic music can exist beyond traditional genre boundaries, drawing influence from artists including Four Tet, Jamie xx, Bicep and Fred again.

REYUS Comments:

“This album represents the kind of artist I wanted to be when I was a kid. Not nailed down to one genre or subgenres, I hope there’s something for everyone, for different moods, for dancing too and some just for listening to, depending on the listener. I listen to a wide range of music and I create tracks based on what or how I feel when I’m creating them, that’s how I hope this album is received. I hope people appreciate the range of creativity whether some songs are for them or not, like I do all the time as a creator. What I want to write or listen to changes all the time and this album represents that. I hope people appreciate that, maybe slightly old school mindset, and I hope they like the music!”

Based south of London in Dorking, England, REYUS began writing music at the age of 10, inspired by the late Tim Bergling. By the age of 16, he had performed his first club show, beginning a journey that would see him spend nine years developing his sound across the underground under multiple aliases before launching his own label and company to release music independently.

Choosing to remain independent, REYUS has retained ownership of his work and creative direction, allowing him to build a catalogue that reflects his own artistic vision rather than fitting into a predefined genre. This approach has become central to his identity, with each release exploring new ideas while remaining rooted in emotion and creative freedom.

REYUS has developed a reputation for his eclectic catalogue and captivating performances, with his music championed by artists including Tiësto, Four Tet, Gorgon City, Jamie xx, Bicep, Vintage Culture, Diplo, Solomun, Mau P and CamelPhat. His 2025 REYUS & Friends headline events saw him tour across the UK and Ibiza, performing at E1, Studio 338, Ministry of Sound, Café Mambo, 528 Ibiza and B Club Kensington. Alongside his own events, he has appeared on line-ups with leading artists such as Maceo Plex, Groove Armada, Adriatique, Confidence Man, Basement Jaxx, Sparrow & Barbossa, and more.

With ‘I’m Listening’, which is set for release on 25th September, REYUS presents the next chapter in his evolution as an artist, bringing together electronic experimentation, personal storytelling and a commitment to creating music without limitation.
