Two cousins, one powerful collaboration: Giuseppe Ottaviani & Hypaton unveil ‘Soundboy’ on Armada Music

To kick-start the club season, Giuseppe Ottaviani and Hypaton have fused their individual sounds and skills to create an all-new explosive club track, ‘Soundboy’, which will be released on Armada Music this October!

‘Soundboy’ starts with an iconic jungle sample before static blips and whirring rising tones establish the pace, to create an aptly atmospheric setting. A soft female vocal repeats “Dance, light, control, dreams”, evolving through reverberant chasms and distorted pitches as the beat drops, giving the impression of a higher dance power interfering with the electronic elements.

Sawtooth waves slice through the dark, echoed melodies and basslines that drive the track, while drum beats ricochet between the left and right channels of the vast space created by the layers of instrumentation. The listener then arrives at the bridge, where a symphony of swelling string melodies breathes through warped motifs, opening up the musical space for the final drop, which feels as powerful as ever and delivers the last rush of euphoria.

Giuseppe Ottaviani and Hypaton will also make history with their first-ever back-to-back set at A State Of Trance in Rotterdam on 27 February 2027, with ‘Soundboy’ setting the stage for their upcoming performance and bringing pure electric into next year.

Both artists’ influences shine through, blending Giuseppe Ottaviani’s deep-rooted knowledge of the electronic music scene with Hypaton’s fresh perspective following his biggest year yet. Italy’s Giuseppe Ottaviani’s signature synth melodies and meticulously crafted structures bring his unmistakable sound and innovative approach to production to the forefront. His pioneering legacy and wealth of experience resonate throughout the track, creating a powerful fusion of established expertise and contemporary energy.

Though Italian DJ and producer Hypaton is best known for his mainstage house sound, his production capabilities extend far beyond a single genre. His discography showcases a versatile approach to electronic music, highlighting his ability to craft crowd-moving tracks, a common thread that unites the genre in all its forms. From working with industry heavyweights such as David Guetta and Benny Benassi to making his Tomorrowland debut this year, Hypaton brings a wealth of new experiences to the collaboration.

‘Soundboy’ by Giuseppe Ottaviani and Hypaton is set for release via Armada Music!
