Relinquo unites orchestral grandeur and cinematic storytelling on Pentaphonia debut: The Council

Relinquo makes his debut on PENTAPHONIA with The Council, a release that pushes beyond the conventional techno format to tell a vivid story through the fusion of electronic production and classical composition.

The Council draws inspiration from contemporary science-fiction cinema, blending orchestral film music with the intensity of techno. A 200-voice choir, full orchestra, and futuristic sound design merge with heavy kicks, rolling basslines, and driving percussion to create a cinematic journey that builds from a mysterious introduction to a powerful climax.

At its core, an extended orchestral break portrays the conflict between two opposing sides, gradually building tension through choir and orchestration before the techno elements return for the final section.

Relinquo is a Vienna-based electronic music producer and composer whose distinctive peak-time sound combines cinematic arrangements with powerful, club-focused production. His aim is to make listeners feel like the protagonists of their own movies, drawing on Vienna’s unique intersection of classical heritage and contemporary club culture.

With multiple Beatport DJ chart-toppers and support from leading artists including Amelie Lens, Lilly Palmer, The YellowHeads, and Adrianna, Relinquo has released music on internationally recognised labels such as Pentaphonia, Animarum, OFF Recordings, Reload, and IAMT. An established figure in Vienna’s techno scene, he holds residencies at prominent clubs and has performed internationally across Europe, Japan, and beyond.

The Council by Relinquo is out this October via PENTAPHONIA.
