Dimitri Vegas, Sylver and Pat B Make Nostalgia Hit Harder Than Ever

Belgian dance music icon Dimitri Vegas, legendary vocal trance act Sylver, and Dutch DJ Pat B have united for a modern, high-energy remake of the timeless dance anthem “Turn The Tide.”

Released on 17 July 2026 via Smash The House, the new version brings Sylver’s emotional early-2000s classic into the modern hardstyle era. Packed with powerful bass, intense kicks, uplifting builds and instantly recognisable vocals, the collaboration is built to connect nostalgic dance fans with a new generation of festival ravers.

Originally released in 2000, Sylver’s “Turn The Tide” became one of the defining tracks of the Eurodance and vocal trance era. More than 25 years later, its signature melody and emotional vocal remain just as effective. In this new version, the original spirit is preserved while the production is transformed into a full-scale peak-time dance-floor weapon.

The remake opens with familiar melodic emotion before surging into whirring progressive chords, heavy bass stabs and hard-hitting drops. Sylver’s iconic vocal cuts through the new-school hardstyle production, creating a balance between sentimental trance nostalgia and the raw force of contemporary festival music.

Dimitri “Vegas” Thivaios, one half of internationally acclaimed electronic duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, brings his unmistakable mainstage touch to the release. A two-time DJ Mag Top 100 DJs winner alongside his brother Michael, Dimitri Vegas is known worldwide for dominating stages such as Tomorrowland and for his explosive big-room sound.

Meanwhile, Pat B—real name Patrick Burreman—is a DJ from the Netherlands, adding his hard dance influence to the collaboration. His contribution helps push “Turn The Tide” into heavier territory, delivering a version that can work as effectively in a hardstyle set as it can on a huge festival mainstage.

For Sylver, the release is an especially meaningful anniversary moment. The Belgian group, known for bringing together vocalist Silvy De Bie, keyboardist Wout Van Dessel and producer Regi Penxten, has been celebrating 25 years of “Turn The Tide” with special merchandise and an extensive 2026 European tour. The celebrations kicked off at Belgium’s Sportpaleis, underlining the lasting impact of a record that continues to move dance floors decades after its release.

This remake is not simply a remake for nostalgia’s sake. It proves that a great dance record can evolve without losing its identity. Dimitri Vegas, Sylver and Pat B have kept the heart of “Turn The Tide” intact, then surrounded it with enough modern power to make it resonate across 2026’s clubs, arenas and festival fields.

“Turn The Tide” by Dimitri Vegas, Sylver and Pat B is out now on Smash The House.
