Quarters Announces ‘Bigger Than We’ With AudioActive And Steeze Factory

Quarters Brighton and AudioActive will host their first official event under their new partnership on Friday 26 June, presenting ‘Bigger Than We’ in collaboration with Toddla T’s Steeze Factory. At the seafront music venue, the night brings together over 25 emerging MCs, rappers and artists from across the South Coast, performing alongside the pioneering grime DJ Mak 10, and special guests from the UK underground in a major milestone to create real-life opportunities for next- gen talent.
Celebrating grime, hip hop, dancehall and cypher culture in all its forms, guests at this high energy showcase can expect live shellings, freestyles and high-energy performances of the highest degree.

Breaking talent highlights representing AudioActive include rising star MC and WaterBear scholarship winner Lilly Wolfe; musical activist Budd Beginnings, freestyle extraordinaire Asiedu, each who graduated from AudioActive’s EMERGE programme, while DJ Melly will bring the absolute heat to Quarters with their seamless blend of bass heavy tunes.

Bringing the raw energy and heavy bars from the Steeze Factory on the night are the highly respected female UK grime artists Mimi Mxnroe and Veepereiraa, alongside breakout artists from Brighton’s creative hub 4DM, and local hip-hop community Baked Beats.

This event is the first public moment of the partnership between Quarters and AudioActive, a collaboration designed to give young people genuine access to the spaces shaping Brighton’s music culture. Fully informed by the lived experience, talent, and insight of young people from AudioActive as guided by the Quarters team, the partnership allows emerging artists and future industry professionals to develop their skills and get hands-on event experience in a real venue environment.

Tickets for this inclusive and celebratory evening of grassroots talents are free in advance from www.quartersbrighton.co.uk, or cost £5 on the door.

Michelle Hunter, Director of Programmes, Communications and Marketing (DSL) at AudioActive said, “We’re excited to be collaborating with Steeze Factory, Toddla T and his brilliant team for this event – they share a similar ethos to us at AudioActive, championing exciting artists and investing in the next generation of talent.

“Creating platforms where real grassroots artists can perform alongside some of the pioneers of the industry just makes sense. AudioActive is deeply committed to supporting the sound of the next generation, and Bigger Than We is a platform that represents exactly that. Our growing network with Waterbear, Slambarz & Steeze is all part of keeping the flow of artists, opportunities and culture moving across the UK. Big thank you to Quarters for supporting this event!”

Paul Jack, co-founder of Quarters and its parent company, A Man About A Dog (AMAAD) added, “We are super excited to see our partnership with AudioActive come to life with this first event. Providing paid internships for those who want to explore, experience and potentially enter the industry is at the heart of the partnership. Working in a venue like Quarters is the front line of what we all do in an intimate environment, and alongside a team that gets involved in all aspects of events.”

Since opening in 2025, Quarters has quickly established itself as a home for world-class live and electronic music, welcoming artists including Shy FX, Laurent Garnier, Everything Everything, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Swimming Paul and many more. With an intimate capacity, a community-driven ethos and a programme spanning global names to grassroots talent, the venue continues to shape Brighton’s cultural landscape.
