Trimtone Celebrate House Music’s Roots With ‘We Gonna Dance’

Long standing UK duo and Love to be… frontmen Trimtone make their debut on David Penn’s Urbana Recordings with ‘We Gonna Dance’, featuring Alexis Hall, out 28th August 2026. The release lands on a fitting home for two artists who have been shaping the sound of house music for over three decades. Buy/Stream it here: https://xelon.ffm.to/wegd.

Made for busy dancefloors, ‘We Gonna Dance’ is a straight up disco house record with plenty of lift. Bright piano, rolling percussion and a driving groove provide the foundation for Alexis Hall’s huge vocal, with retro disco flavours and touches of gospel bringing warmth and familiarity. Trimtone keep the production firmly rooted in the present, building everything around a tight, club focused arrangement that gives the vocal room to shine while maintaining the energy needed for peak time sets.

Marc Dennis and Tony Walker, better known as Trimtone, are the driving force behind one of UK house music’s most enduring and influential brands. Their Love to be… event series began at Sheffield’s Music Factory in 1994 and was crowned Mixmag’s Club Night of the Year, before going on to take world class house music to Ibiza, Miami, Sydney, Chicago, Amsterdam and major festivals around the world.

Across its three decade history, Love to be… has hosted some of house music’s most celebrated names, including Masters At Work, Roger Sanchez, Frankie Knuckles, Carl Cox, Kerri Chandler and Armand Van Helden. Alongside their work with the brand, Trimtone have built an extensive production catalogue with releases on Armada, Toolroom, Nervous, King Street, Simma Black, Quantize and Sony, earning them a place among Traxsource’s Top 300 Artists in the World.

With ‘We Gonna Dance’, Trimtone bring that history into the present with a record that draws on the soulful, vocal driven foundations of house while remaining firmly focused on today’s dancefloor.
