BIIA Balances Emotion And Intensity On ‘Die For Youth’

After a breakout run of releases on some of techno’s most influential labels, Portuguese DJ and producer BIIA enters a defining new phase with the launch of her own imprint, DYSTONIA. Leading the label’s debut is ‘Die For Youth,’ arriving on 27th August 2026, a powerful new single that reveals a more emotive side of her evolving sound while retaining the driving energy that has become synonymous with her name.

Built around themes of youth, freedom and nostalgia, ‘Die For Youth’ blends soaring vocal hooks with expansive melodic progressions and peak-time techno power. Driving percussion, hypnotic grooves and uplifting harmonies combine to create a record that feels equally suited to vast festival stages and late-night club environments. While unmistakably rooted in BIIA’s high-energy approach, the single introduces a more reflective emotional depth, balancing moments of release with relentless forward momentum.

The release also marks the beginning of DYSTONIA, a new label conceived as both a creative platform and a community built around uninhibited movement and self-expression. Reflecting the same energy that defines BIIA’s performances, the imprint provides a space for music that connects emotionally as much as physically, giving the Portuguese artist complete freedom to further develop her artistic vision.

The launch arrives during one of the biggest summers of BIIA’s career. Alongside ‘Die For Youth,’ she continues an extensive international tour with appearances at Tomorrowland, Awakenings, Monegros, Neopop, Sziget Festival, Hï Ibiza, OffSonar and Brunch Electronik, further cementing her status as one of Europe’s fastest-rising techno artists.

Known for combining driving grooves, hypnotic loops and tightly controlled energy, BIIA has built a catalogue spanning labels including Teletech, Solamente, Taapion and Tomorrowland Music. Her productions and performances consistently balance intensity with precision, creating immersive journeys that have earned widespread support across the global techno scene.

With ‘Die For Youth,’ BIIA opens an exciting new chapter. Both a statement of artistic evolution and the first release on DYSTONIA, the single captures an artist embracing complete creative independence while delivering another powerful addition to her growing catalogue.
