Shivani Sen delivers vibrant second single ‘The Call I Never Made’

Making waves in the music scene in London and India, Shivani’s sonic identity combines the essence of the classical Eastern raga with Western indie pop and offers a melting pot of cultures and emotions to her listeners. Through her sound, the ethereal and spiritual tones of Indian music meet the upbeat world of Western indie pop. Shivani’s creative aim is to merge the rich traditions of her heritage with the vibrant and eclectic tones of pop music and break genre-specific boundaries. “It is important to not compartmentalise music and express our feelings using sound that speaks to our soul.”

Shivani’s debut release You’re Not Coming secured her a spot as Artist of the Week on BBC Introducing Asian Network and was featured in the likes of Notion and Earmilk.
With her second single, Shivani tells a story of what-ifs, regret, nostalgia, and longing. The Call I Never Made weaves intricate classical runs and Indian instruments like sitar, tanpura and table with quintessential Western pop, paving a unique way for how the genres can be blended.

Shivani is also a published author, with her debut poetry collection To the Homes that We Are sold internationally and discussed in universities and bookstores across the UK.
